KITA (Chairman: Jin Sik Yoon) hosted "Istanbul K-Premium Products Fair 2026" on Wednesday 14 October (Turkish local time) at Shangri-La Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, Türkiye.
KITA organised a B2B programme to connect Korean businesses with key buyer companies in Türkiye and its agjacent region equipped with local distrubution networks. Korean businesses will have approximately 550 individual meetings with 75 such buyer companies, including BİM, a company boasting more than 14,000 stores across Türkiye and North Africa, Migros, a large-scale supermarket chain and Rossmann, an well-known Europe-based drugstore chain.
KITA Senior Executive Director Seok-min Jang attended the opening ceremony and said, "The Halal region is surfacing as a key strategic market for Korean businesses as the region is growing at least 6% every year, driven by consumption by the younger generation." He added, "KITA is committed to promoting K-consumer goods in the Halal region by strengthening support for Korean businesses, ranging from obtaining Halal certification, market research, discovering potential buyers to overseas marketing, that is designed to cater to the needs of different stages of entering an overseas market.
