KITA Chairman Jin-sik Yoon invited Minister Jeong-gwan Kim from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources for a breakfast meeting with a group of KITA non-residential Chairmans on Thursday, 2 October at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel.
Non-residential Chairmans present at the meeting include, Mr Seok-song Oh, the Chairman of Meta Biomed and Mr Ho-geun Song, the Chairman of YG-1, Mr Young-bae Choi, the Chairman of Exiqon and Mr Joo-bong Park, the Chairman of Daejoo Heavy Industry.
During the meeting, Minister Kim stressed, "As the environment for exports remain unfavourable, KITA has an important role as a middleman of maintaining the momentum of exports by timely discovering difficulties faced by our exporting companies and taking action by proposing suitable policies to the government".
In response to Minister Kim's comment, Chairman Yoon replied, "It is my sincere wish that the government and the business sector engage in more robust cooperation to support sustainable growth of Korean exports and strengthening industrial competitiveness".
