The KITA Washington Center is dedicated to advancing economic cooperation and partnership between Korea and the United States.

As the only private trade association representing Korea in the greater Washington, D.C. area, KITA provides extensive support to Korean companies seeking to establish and expand their presence in the U.S. market.

In today’s rapidly changing global trade environment — marked by heightened supply chain challenges, export controls, and evolving industrial and regulatory policies — KITA plays a pivotal role in helping Korean businesses navigate the U.S. policy landscape. Through in-depth research and analysis, KITA supports its member companies in maintaining competitiveness and resilience across key sectors.

KITA proactively engages with U.S. government agencies, Congress, think tanks, and business organizations to promote constructive dialogue on trade, technology, and economic security. By fostering strong partnerships and communication channels, KITA strives to ensure that the interests of Korean companies are well represented and understood in Washington.

Beyond policy engagement, KITA carries out a range of initiatives to deepen the Korea–U.S. economic relationship — from organizing policy roundtables and outreach programs to facilitating business cooperation and delegations. KITA also works to enhance public understanding of Korea’s dynamic economy and its growing contributions to innovation and job creation in the United States.

With our ongoing commitment to advancing Korea–U.S. trade and investment cooperation, the KITA Washington Center will continue to serve as a bridge connecting industries, policymakers, and communities between Korea and the United States.

KITA closely monitors key developments in U.S. trade and economic policy.
We analyze legislative and regulatory trends from the U.S. Congress, the Department of Commerce, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), and other federal agencies.
Our research also examines trade and industrial policies of major economies such as Japan, the European Union, and China, with a focus on strategic sectors.
KITA provides timely policy analysis and market insights to Korean companies operating in the United States.
We help member companies understand regulatory changes, industry dynamics, and emerging trade issues that may impact their business environment.
Through research briefings and coordination with partner organizations, KITA supports constructive engagement between Korean businesses and U.S. stakeholders.
KITA actively engages with U.S. policymakers, congressional staff, and federal, state, and local government agencies involved in trade and investment policy.
We also collaborate with leading think tanks and other policy institutions to promote informed dialogue on Korea–U.S. economic cooperation.
In addition, KITA maintains close communication with business coalitions and industry groups in key sectors.
