KITA São Paulo Center : Facilitating Korea’s Regional Expansion in Latin America

In November 2025, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) launched the São Paulo Center, its first regional office in Latin America, to strengthen Korea’s economic presence in the region. The Center was created to support market diversification and build resilient supply chains amid a rapidly changing global landscape. As Brazil’s financial and industrial powerhouse, São Paulo serves as a strategic gateway to opportunities across Latin America, enabling the Center to oversee Korea’s regional economic cooperation.

The São Paulo Center assists Korean companies by facilitating market entry, addressing business challenges, and providing timely market and trade intelligence. It also works to improve the business environment for Korean enterprises by building strong partnerships with government bodies, public institutions, and major industry associations in Brazil and across Latin America, helping expand Korea’s long-term economic footprint in the region.

Building partnerships with local governments, economic organizations, and businesses across Latin America (except Mexico)
Representing the interests of Korean companies in the region and working to identify practical solutions to their operational challenges
Organizing seminars, briefings, and forums on major trade and market issues relevant to Latin America

Providing online and offline market-entry support for Associated Korean Companies seeking to expand into Latin American markets
Monitoring major Latin American economies and tracking trade developments between Korea and the region
