On April 25th, five economic organizations(KITA, the Federation of Korean Industries, the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Korea Federation of SMEs, the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea) including KITA(Chairman Jin Sik Yoon) hosted the '2024 Meeting with Economic Leaders & Heads of Overseas Missions-Business Leaders One-on-One Meetings and Luncheon' jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul.
The purpose of this event was to support Korean businesses enter overseas markets and expand their exports based on the local market information and overseas networks that diplomatic missions hold. Approximately 360 consultations were conducted between 180 domestic companies(154 participated in consultations, 120 participated in luncheon / a total of 180 companies attended the event excluding overlaps) and 180 heads of overseas missions from all around the globe.
Prior to the consultations, a luncheon was held with the attendance of key figures including Chairman of KITA Jin Sik Yoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tae Yul Cho, executives from the five economic organizations and Second Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs In Sun Kang.
