The
Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) held a
“Meeting with venture and start-up leaders” on June 17 at COEX in
Samseong-dong, Seoul.
Prime
Minister Deok-soo Han, Christopher Koo, the Chairman of KITA, Seok-hyeon Gang,
the CEO of KDB and Young Lee, the Minister of SMEs and Start-ups paid a visit
to take part in the meeting and a dozen leaders from ventures and start-ups,
including Seong-won Lee, the CEO of Wellscare, Jae-seung Park, the co-founder
of VisualCamp, San Ko, the CEO of ATeam Ventures, participated and shared
opinions on providing support to venture companies and start-ups.
Leaders
who participated in the meeting raised the need to a) ease regulations for
approval of innovative items and new materials, b) ease regulations of data use
and improve relevant legal restrictions and c) provide support when introducing
manufacturing platforms.
