The
Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) signed a
business agreement with the Seegene Medical Foundation on April 28th
at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong, Seoul and announced that KITA members will
be eligible to get a discount on Covid testing fees whenever their employees
need to receive pre-departure Covid tests prior to making overseas business
trips.
Although
a handful of countries started to ease self-isolation requirements and
quarantine procedures applied to inbound international passengers, major
countries, including the U.S. and China still require a PCR test certificate or
a Covid negative certificate from inbound international passengers. With an aim
to financially support Korean trading companies to save on testing fees and to
facilitate their business activities, KITA and the Seegene Medical Foundation
decided to sign the business agreement.
KITA
member companies can enjoy a 20% discount on three types of tests - real-time
RT-PCR tests, RT-PCR tests/antibody tests required for entering China and rapid
antigen tests, and they can obtain certificates available in English, Chinese
and Japanese within five hours of testing.
