The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) announced that it signed a MOU with LG Electronics (CEO: Joo-wan Cho) on April 19th at the Start-up Branch in COEX, Samseong-dong to initiate start-up incubation programs for emerging industry sectors.

The MOU was signed by Seung-kwan Sin, the Executive Vice President of KITA and Ik-hwan Jang, the Deputy CEO of LG Electronics, who doubles the role of the Head of the Business Solutions (BS) Division. In line with the MOU, the two sides will cooperate to discover and support promising start-ups engaged in emerging business sectors and provide financial support for their proof-of-concept (PoC) presentations.

The two sides decided to work on their initial collaborative project by opening “Biznovator 2022” - an Open Innovation event aimed at discovering promising start-ups in the robotics, digital signage solution, digital healthcare & medical device and virtual solution sectors.
