Korea
International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo), the Federation of
UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce &
Industry co-hosted Korea - UAE Business Roundtable on Hydrogen Partnership on
January 16th in Dubai, UAE.
Christopher
Koo, the Chairman of KITA highlighted in his opening remarks, “The whole world
is being prepared for a great transition to embrace clean energy, in an effort
to achieve carbon neutrality.” He also mentioned, “It is my hope that the
cooperation between Korea and UAE will lead the global hydrogen industry in the
future, as Korea boasts cutting-edge technologies in the hydrogen industry
sector and the UAE is an important source of abundant hydrogen resources.”
Participants
from Korea include President Moon, Jae-in, KITA Chairman Christopher Koo,
Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy Seung-wook Moon and more than 20
relevant officials from the hydrogen industry sector and institutions,
including officials from GS Energy, Korea National Oil Corporation, SK Gas,
Hyundai Motors, Doosan Fuel Cell, Samsung C&T Corporation. From the UAE,
more than ten relevant officials from the government and the private sector,
including Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrui, Chairman of the Federation of UAE
Chambers of Commerce and Industry and officials from the Ministry of Energy
& Infrastructure, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Mubadala Sovereign
Wealth Fund participated.
