Trade Center Testbed: Establishing Steppingstone for Scale-Up of Startups

The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) successfully signed a business contract with Oysterable, an eco-friendly startup that took part in the ‘Trade Center Testbed’ project which has been operating since 2019.

Last year, Oysterable installed 6 IoT disposal systems in the COEX exhibition halls for clear plastic bottles and is in the process of PoC. When users discard clear plastic bottles in the disposal system, they can collect points on Oysterable’s ‘Today’s Recycling’ app, which can later be redeemed for a merchandise like a t-shirt made of recycled plastic.
