    KITA Held ‘tradeKorea Biz Matching Conference’

     

    - 33 buyers carry out consultations in Seoul on 29th and in Jeju on 31st discuss expansion of export contracts and volume -

     

    The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Kim Young-ju) held ‘2019 tradeKorea Biz Matching Conference’ at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong on October 29th. 

      

    tradeKorea is a global business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplace run by the Korea International Trade Association.

      

    33 distributors from 17 countries, including H-mart, the largest Korean supermarket in the United States, which has been continuously importing Korean products through tradeKorea, Lejel Home Shopping, Indonesia's TV home shopping company, and Golden Gate Trade, the No. 1 Vietnamese franchise company were invited to the event and carried out export consultations with some 200 Korean companies in food, cosmetics and household goods businesses.

     

    A Korean apparel company G had been steadily negotiating with a textile buyer in Turkey after exchanging an offer for the first time through Trade Korea last April and finally signed a $ 500,000 polyester fabric export deal.

      

    A food company M had signed a deal with a Vietnamese buyer who was introduced at by tradeKorea last June, and has already completed two shipments. They discussed additional orders at this event. A drink manufacturing company P also discussed the exclusive contract in detail at this meeting after exporting the samples for convenience stores to a buyer in Singapore last August.

     

    Kim Hyun-chul, head of Global Marketing Group of the Korea International Trade Association, said, “tradeKorea matches Korean small and medium-sized companies who wish to export with customized overseas buyers and supports follow-up consultations with the buyers.” He stressed, “We will continue to actively support Korean companies to make inroads into overseas by providing matching service at all times.”

      

    13 companies out of the buyers visiting Korea are planning to conduct one on one consultation meetings with the companies located in Jeju at Hotel Nanta on 31st.
